You may have chosen Mirowitz for your children, but you get something valuable for yourself as well: a community of families, teachers who value your partnership, and administrators who are here to support you. |
As we approach the third anniversary of a pandemic that kept parents apart from the school and each other, let’s come back together and strengthen our community. |
I’d like to invite you to join me for the first of what I hope will become bi-annual grade-level parent meetings.
It is my experience that these meetings — which allow us to hear each others laughter and questions, admire the profound differences in our children, and understand our shared commitment to their growth — lead to deeper relationships and a stronger foundation for our children.
I’m sure you agree that Mirowitz is a special place to grow up. Our children form deep bonds as they move through elementary and middle school. They graduate with leadership skills, an understanding of who they are, and a desire to better the world around them. Throughout the years, there are celebrations and sometimes challenges. |
Grade-level meetings will give us opportunities to acknowledge both, and remind of the common cause that brought us into each others’ lives — the education, care, and love of the children. |
At our meetings, we may discuss learning goals and social dynamics. We may explore what is developmentally appropriate at a particular age or stage, or the reason for various homework tasks. You will have opportunities to ask questions and also to share your experiences. |
Often parents find that their peers have the same questions, struggles and successes as their own, and feel relieved to know their experiences are not theirs alone. |
Please mark your calendar, arrange for a babysitter, and plan to join me for your grade-level meeting.

Ideally, we will hold these parent gatherings at a family’s home. If you are able to host for your grade, please let me know.
Your children are forging bonds that will last a lifetime, and you should have that opportunity, too. I look forward to spending time with you.
Shabbat Shalom,

Check your email inbox Monday, February 6 for your 23-24 tuition agreement. It will include instructions on how to sign it digitally. (Yes! We are finally going paperless!)
As a reminder, we are moving to a continuous agreement this year, a process that not only follows the best practices of private schools nationwide, but is easier for YOU! It means that the re-enrollment contract you sign this month is the last one you’ll ever have to sign. Next year, you will receive notification of your tuition responsibility in early February, but will not have to sign a contract at all!
Thank you for being part of the Mirowitz community. It is an honor to partner with you to raise a generation of learners and leaders who are ethically responsible, intellectually capable, and who find pride and strength in their Jewish heritage.

Our Parent In Heaven, Rock and Redeemer of Israel, bless the State of Israel, the start of the flowering of our redemption. Shield it with Your love. Spread over it the shelter of Your peace, Guide its leaders and advisors with Your light and Your truth. Establish for them Your good counsel. Strengthen the hands of the defenders of our Holy Land. Cause them to inherit, our God, deliverance. Place the crown of victory upon them. Give the land peace and everlasting joy to its inhabitants. |
